The World Series Champions are from Chicago. Really. It’s true. Hard to believe, but true.
I’ve been cheering my whole life for this to happen. And it did. Albeit to the wrong Chicago team. But still. Hard to be picky when there has been this much sports futility in the city.
I guess all there is to say is, “You can put it on the boarrrrrd, YES!”

Gotta love Eric Zorn’s column…
I think the fact that the series MVP could have just as easily gone to so many players is a good testament to why the Sox carried this one home. Guys most never heard of stepped up to put it over the fence in the series.
They managed to put up good production against some of the games best pitchers in the Astros lineup and played airtight defense to hold the line even when the pitchers struggled.
That’s just good baseball, and they deserve it. Any chicago baseball fan should be happy to see this one, regardless of the colors they wear at the crosstown classic.
OK, so a little reality check – remember the “Frank Thomas” years – always a Cub fan…not in those, albeit brief, formative years.
The truth reported…from the “Source”!
