hi from Taipei

Taipei is awesome.

The subway is fast, clean and SUPER easy to use. The food is one amazing flavour after another. Dumplings and squid on a stick have never tasted better (fried and grilled… hard to decide which way squid is better here).

We had a very good flight… very long, but very smooth and easy… today we are off to Alishan for our mountain adventure and after that we go to Taroko Gorge. We’re back in Taipei later in the week.

Sorry, but we can’t download photos from this computer terminal, so you’ll have to wait for scenes of our first tastes of Taipei… so far I’m sure it won’t be a surprise to hear that the food has been the highlight!

    Hi Josh and Renee,

I am so happy for both of you having a wonderful experience in Taiwan. Tell you the truth; I am still missing a lot of Taiwanese style dishes that I only can taste in the night market. Have you have a chance to visit Shi-lin (I am not sure it is correct spelling or not?) night market yet? I grew up at Suh-pai where is next to Shi-lin, but a little bit north of Taipei. Actually, it is pretty much the same location on the map. Haulien is my favorite town since my army unit located in this town and I have spent more than one year there. Not to mention Taroko Gorge, of course, it was my favorite National Park in Taiwan. I am sure you two will enjoy the scene there, too.

If there are any typos or grammar errors, please accept my apology. Talk to you later.

    Sincerely,

    Nei-Long
