While certainly a complicated issue, a few things are very simple.
1. Tibetans, most notably His Holiness the Dalai Lama, must live in exile in order to be free.
2. Many, many Tibetans flee, on foot (1 week – 2 months, over mountains and through extreme cold), to reach freedom.
3. China has not “liberated” Tibet at all, but rather ruined much of Tibet, committed horrendous human rights violations, and created a hostile place for a peaceful people (Tibetans).
4. Things must change; Tibet must be free.
Please learn more about this issue. Please talk to your friends, family, politicians, anybody about Tibet. Money is not the solution to this problem. Awareness and action are crucial.
A good start would be to watch the documentary “Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion.” It’s award-winning; more importantly, it is thorough, moving and compelling.

I have followed with great interest and sorrow the plight of Tibet ever since the Chinese seized the most remarkable place on earth. Efforts to relieve Tibet of the Chinese invaders, though to date futile, should and must continue. I am pleased you have had a chance to experience first hand what I have watched from a distance. It is incumbant upon us all to keep alive the dream of Tibetans returning to Tibet.
