The Cubs are playing in Chicago this afternoon. And while technically there have been three games already, for me, the baseball season opens today. I may not be standing in the batter’s box, but I’ll be following along as the Cubs embark on their season to end the Mother of all streaks: 100 years and counting since the last championship. Heck, they haven’t even made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons since 1906-7-8!
Theriot to DeRosa to Lee may not roll off the tongue like Tinkers to Evers to Chance, and Harry would mangle Kosuke Fukudome every time, but all I can say is…
Go Cubs Go!
