One of the features of this WordPress theme that we really liked was the rotating banner images. It’s ridiculously easy to add photos to the rotation and it’s a fun use of our photos. But instead of finding a way to give information about the photo on the main page I’ll just reproduce the images here (albeit at about 2/3 size) with some information.

Bhuj Chaat
Bhuj Chaat
Bhuj is the capital of the Kutch region of the Indian state Gujarat and it was the gateway city for us to the farm at which we spent so much time. This chaat, or snack, featured potatoes, onion, pomegranate, puffed rice, yogurt and spices and was especially delicious.

Elephant Eyes
Elephant Eyes
We did a mini “Mahout” experience (elephant trainer) that got us lots of time up close and personal with elephants in Laos. jft was especially captivated by the big animal’s eyes and has many close-ups, but this image uncropped is actually of the whole elephants. We still love elephants and miss our time with them.

Mt. Abu Monkeys
Mt. Abu Monkeys
There were monkeys all over India but this particular species was much less common. On our foggy drive down from Mt. Abu we were surrounded by this band of monkeys who decided to pose for some pictures.

Thai Red Flower
Thai Red Flower
We don’t actually know what type of flower this is, but it sure is pretty. We found it in or around Phitsanulok, Thailand.

Thai Rice Paddy Sunset
Thai Rice Paddy Sunset
Rice paddies are amazing places and this one especially grabbed us as the sun was setting. This was the end of a crazy day with a motorbike, and a pretty great moment for us.

Max Stares into Camera
Max Stares Into Camera
We particularly liked the way Max was looking into the camera in this picture, and also how he is so comforted by his hand.

Know a photo of ours you think would make a particularly good addition to the banner collection? Be sure to let us know! ciao [at] pastabroccoli [dot] net
